The difference between an invoice and a receipt
Updated this week

In this article, we will specify the difference between an invoice and a receipt. Let’s go through each concept one by one.

Receipt

A receipt is a document or record provided to your customers (individuals or businesses) that contains any details about the order, including customer name and information, order price, payment method, pick-up address, drop-off address, or any other information related to an order.

Invoice

An invoice is a way of paying your business customers on a monthly/weekly basis so there is no need for them to pay for each order individually or one by one. This concept works for you if you have business customers with regular orders and there is no need to pay for each order immediately.
