How to Set Up Surcharges for Your Services

Learn how to add and manage delivery surcharges including fixed fees, driver custom amounts, and percentages of the order price.

In some cases, delivery costs may vary depending on factors such as weather conditions, the area, the hardship of delivery, or specific handling requirements. To account for these situations, you can apply surcharges to your delivery services.

This guide provides clear instructions on how to set up delivery surcharges in your system. It is intended to help ensure that additional delivery-related expenses are covered accurately and consistently.

To set up surcharges for a service, follow this path:

Admin Center -> Pricing -> find the service -> click edit button

Adding a surcharge

Type:

There are 3 types of surcharges, which you can set:

  • Driver: This is an input field in the driver app where drivers can add extra tips or charges based on the delivery situation.

  • Fixed: You can set a fixed amount and define the distance ranges it applies to.

  • Coefficient: You can set a coefficient of the order price to be charged. The value must be between 0 and 1. For example, to charge 20%, set the coefficient to 0.2.

  • Company income: By enabling/ disabling this button, you can decide if this surcharge is charged to the company or not.

  • Driver income: By enabling/ disabling this button, you can decide if this surcharge belongs to the driver or not.

After providing all of this required information, click on the Save Changes button at the top of the page.
