How to enable password reset requests for drivers

Learn to set up password reset via Email, SMS or Push Notification channels for drivers who have forgotten their password.

Updated this week

Drivers who forget their password or are unable to log in can easily request a password reset directly through the app. This ensures quick and secure access to their account without needing admin assistance.

Note: To send the password reset link through any selected channel, integration with a corresponding service provider is required.

SMS and Email Integrations

The password reset link will be sent to customers via SMS, Email and Push Notification channels, depending on your choice ( 1 channel is enough). To ensure this works correctly, you must first integrate with your corresponding service provider in Admin Center -> Integration. For detailed instructions, please refer to our SMS provider integration , Gmail integration.

Once your Email, Push Notification, or SMS provider is successfully integrated, you can proceed to create a password reset template.

Creating SMS and Email Templates for Password Reset

To notify drivers when they request a password reset via your selected channel (Email, SMS or Push Notification), you need to create and configure a communication template with the appropriate content and reset link. To learn more about how the communication works, please read this article.

This template works the same way for Email, SMS, and Push Notifications. In this guide, we use SMS as an example, but the steps are the same for the other channels as well.

To do so, navigate to the following path:

Admin Center-> Settings -> Communication-> SMS (tab) -> New(button)

Name: You can choose any name for the template, but it's best to use a meaningful and relevant name that reflects its purpose (e.g., "Driver Password Reset").
Section: Select Drivers as the section.
Trigger: Set the trigger to send password reset URL.
Recipient: Choose Driver as the recipient.

Tags: Be sure to include the Password Reset URL tag in your message content. This tag will be replaced by the actual reset link generated by the server and sent to the driver.

Body: Write the content of your message here. Make sure it's clear and professional, and that it includes the Password Reset URL tag so the driver receives the actual reset link. You can also personalize the message with other available tags if needed.

Password reset is now enabled for drivers.
