Drivers who forget their password or are unable to log in can easily request a password reset directly through the app. This ensures quick and secure access to their account without needing admin assistance.
SMS and Email Integrations
The password reset link will be sent to drivers via SMS or email, depending on their choice. To ensure this works correctly, you must first integrate your SMS provider and email (Gmail) settings properly in Admin Center -> Integration. For detailed instructions, please refer to our SMS provider integration and Gmail integration articles.
Once you’ve successfully integrated your email and SMS providers, you can proceed to create the email and SMS templates for password reset.
Creating SMS and Email Templates for Password Reset
To notify drivers when they request a password reset, you'll need to create and configure both SMS and email templates with the appropriate content and reset link. To learn about communications, check here.
To do so, navigate to the following path:
Admin Center-> Communication-> SMS (tab) -> Click on New(button)
Name: You can choose any name for the template, but it's best to use a meaningful and relevant name that reflects its purpose (e.g., "Driver Password Reset").
Section: Select Drivers as the section.
Trigger: Set the trigger to send password reset URL.
Recipient: Choose Driver as the recipient.
Tags: Be sure to include the Password Reset URL tag in your message content. This tag will be replaced by the actual reset link generated by the server and sent to the driver.
Body: Write the content of your message here. Make sure it's clear and professional, and that it includes the Password Reset URL tag so the driver receives the actual reset link. You can also personalize the message with other available tags if needed.
Repeat the process for the Email template (The email setup process is the same as for SMS.) Simply go to Admin Center → Communication → Email (tab) and click the New button to create a new email template.
Password reset is now enabled for drivers via both email and SMS.
