You can have multiple users in the management console and assign them to specific groups with different access levels (e.g., dispatcher, admin, scanner). This allows you to assign different users responsibilities for specific zones, driver teams, services, or vehicle types.
To do so, access the admin center and follow the path below:
Users & Groups → Groups (tab) → New (button)
We're going to start by creating a new group:
Groups allow you to organize and manage multiple users within the management console by assigning them specific roles and access levels (such as dispatcher, admin, or scanner). To learn more about groups and how to create them, read this article.
Creating a new user:
After you've created your groups, navigate to the Users tab ( in the same Users & Groups section) and click on the New button.
Provide the required information:
Username: Enter a unique username using letters, numbers, underscores, or dashes.
Password: Set a strong password for the user.
Name: Enter the user's full name.
VoIP Line (Optional): If your company doesn't use VoIP, leave this field empty.
Intercom Access Type: Choose one of the following options:
Knowledge Base: Users can only access knowledge base articles.
Ticket & Knowledge Base: Users can access the knowledge base and create tickets in Intercom, allowing our support team to assist with any issues or questions. (Limited to a maximum of 2 users for ticket access.)
You can learn more about intercom access types here.None: Users won't be able to access the knowledge base and the ticketing system.
Email: Enter the user's email address ( only required for ticket & knowledgebase intercom access type)
Group: Select the group you created earlier to assign this user.
Services: Choose the services the user will be responsible for.
Teams: Choose which driver teams the user will manage..
Zones: Select the zones the user is responsible for.
Vehicle Types: Choose which types of vehicles the user will manage.
After providing the required information, click on the submit
button to create the new user.
This allows each user to access the dispatcher panel, scanner, or specific parts of the admin center based on their group and the access levels assigned within that group.
By repeating this process, you can create multiple management console users, each responsible for specific services, zones, driver teams, and more.
