Setting up a Coefficient
Type: The type of this pricing setting can be Price or Distance ( price-based or distance-based).
If your pricing depends on distance ranges, select a distance type. If your pricing is zone-based or doesn’t depend on distance, select a price type.
In the Price type, you can specify the origin and destination zones. The origin is where the order starts (pickup), and the destination is where it ends (drop off).
If you don’t select a zone, the pricing will automatically apply to all zones.
Name: A name should be entered for this setting. Try to enter a meaningful name, one that describes the pricing setting.
Date range: The date range is the start and end date during which this pricing should be active and apply in the system.
If you want this setting to stay active for a long time, you can set the start date from today and the end date up to 5 years later.
Time range: The time range is the start and end time during which this pricing should be active and apply in the system.
If you want the setting to apply for the full 24 hours, set the start time to 00:00:00 and the end time to 23:59:59.
Weekday: Weekdays are the days of the week during which this setting should be active. To cover the entire week, select Monday and Sunday.
Distance: This is the distance between the pickup and drop-off points during which this setting should be active.
This part is only active when “Distance” is selected as “Type.”
Vehicle types: Select the specific vehicle types that this pricing will apply to. Only the chosen vehicle types will use this pricing setup.
Services: Select the specific services that this pricing will apply to. Only the chosen services will use this pricing setup.
Customer tags: Use this field to choose the tags assigned to specific customers. Only customers with the selected tags will have this pricing applied, making it easy to set special rates for certain groups or individuals.
If you leave the customer tags field empty and don’t select any tags, the pricing will be applied to all customers.
Calculation Type: You can choose to either set a fixed price or apply a coefficient (a percentage of the order price). When “Fixed” is selected, a Price field will appear where you can enter the fixed amount. When “Coefficient” is selected, a Coefficient field will appear for you to enter the percentage.
If the Coefficient type is selected, the value in the coefficient field is multiplied by the base fare. For example, if you set it to 0.5, the order price will be 50% of the base fare.
Fixed Price Example:
You set the price to 100.
Regardless of the previous pricing, the final price for the order with the current setting becomes $ 100.
Coefficient Examples:
Example 1: Base price = 100, Coefficient = 0.5 → 100 × 0.5 = 50 (price is reduced by 50%)
Example 2: Base price = 100, Coefficient = 2 → 100 × 2 = 200 (price is doubled)
Example 3: Base price = 100, Coefficient = 1.5 → 100 × 1.5 = 150 (price increases by 50%)
