The Messages Box lets you send one-way messages like announcements and updates to chosen drivers or customers through the admin panel.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Messages Box feature in the admin panel allows you to send one-way messages to drivers or customers. It is designed for general communication, such as announcements, service updates, or important notices. This article explains how to use the Messages Box to send messages to selected customers or drivers.

To send a new message, follow the path below:

Here, you can view two tabs: Customers and Drivers. Any messages previously sent to drivers or customers will be displayed under their respective tabs.

Important Note: These messages will be sent as push notifications. Integration with OneSignal is required for push notifications to work correctly. Without this integration, users will not receive any push notifications.

Both the driver and customer apps have a Messages Box option in their profile menu, where they can view all the messages that have been sent to them.

How to Send a Message to Customers

The customer message box is designed to send important information and updates to customers when real-time communication is not necessary. It is useful for occasions such as announcing promotions, informing customers about service changes or delays, sharing policy updates, or sending reminders and alerts.

To send a new message to customers, first select the Customers tab. Then, click the New button in the top-right corner.

In the opened window, provide the following information:

  • Title: Enter the message title here.

  • Description: Enter the message description here.

  • Type: Select who will receive the message. You can choose an individual customer or a global audience.

    • If you select Global, you must also choose the device type: Android or iOS. If Android is selected, only customers using Android devices will receive the message. The same applies to iOS users when iOS is selected.

    • If you select Individual, you need to select the customer by their phone number from the Phone field.

After entering this information, click Submit to send the message. The selected customer or customers will then receive the message as a push notification and in their messages box.
