How to integrate with HubSpot

If your business is currently using HubSpot as its CRM or plans to start using it to manage customer relationships, you can connect it to the platform so your customers' data stays in sync automatically. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up the integration with HubSpot.

What does the integration do?

You need to know that this integration is one-way: it syncs from Onro β†’ HubSpot, not the other way around. When you add or update a customer in the platform, that information is sent straight to HubSpot. You don't need to do anything extra.

Here's what gets synced:

Individual Customers

Individual customers are added to HubSpot as Contacts.

Business Customers

Business customers are added as Companies, with their contacts linked automatically. What this means: In Onro, a business customer usually has two parts: a company and a contact person.

For example:

The company is Cheesecake Factory, and the contact person is Mike Williams. When this information is synced to HubSpot, it's not added as two unrelated records. Instead, Cheesecake Factory is created as a Company, Mike Williams is created as a Contact, and the contact is linked to their associated company.

The integration is not applied to existing customers (business or individual) before the integration. It only applies to new customers.

Prerequisites

  • You must have an active HubSpot account

  • You must have Admin access in the Onro platform

Set up the integration

Connecting to HubSpot is easy and only takes a few minutes. To start, navigate to the following path:

Admin Center -> Settings -> Integrations -> CRM

Here you can see the list of all the available CRM options. Click on HubSpot and follow the steps below to configure it for your system:

  1. Click the Connect button. This will redirect you to HubSpot to sign in.

  2. You need to sign in to your HubSpot account.

  3. If you're signed in, you will see the list of your available accounts that you can connect with Onro. Select your account and click on Choose Account.

  4. On the next page, you can review the access this integration will have. Click on Connect App after reviewing the items.

  5. On the next step, you are asked to confirm this by typing 'I accept the risk' in the provided field. Click Connect to finish.

HubSpot is now connected to your panel. Enjoy!

A new customer account with the name HubSpot Integration will be automatically created in your customer list. Do not modify or delete this customer account.
