Configuring Security, Customer Whitelist, and Driver Whitelist

Discover how to grant access to the customer and driver apps in specific situations and understand how this process works.

Updated over 2 months ago

We provide two types of whitelists to simplify access in situations such as testing, internal use, or controlled demonstrations. In this article, we will explore these whitelist options, explain their use cases, and show how to add customers or drivers to each.

To Configure this, follow the path below:

Admin Center -> Settings -> User & Groups -> Security (tab)

Customers white list

The customer whitelist allows specific phone numbers to bypass the usual login process. When a phone number is added to this list, the user can log in without needing a valid verification code or password. This means they can enter any code or password and still get access.

Important note: the phone number must already be registered in the system. If the number is not linked to an existing customer account, the whitelist will not work, and the login will fail.

You can add a customer’s phone number in two ways to make sure it works in the whitelist:

  • First, you can enter the full phone number, including the country code, but without the plus sign. For example, a US number would be written as 15551234567, where 1 is the country code.

  • Second, you can add just the first few digits of the phone number to cover many numbers at once.
    For example:
If you enter 97, it will include all numbers that start with +97. This makes it easier to manage who can access the app.
If your customers are from the UK and their numbers start with +44, you can simply enter 44. This will whitelist all phone numbers that begin with +44.

To remove a phone number from the list, click the x icon located to the left side of the phone number.

Drivers white list

The driver whitelist allows certain drivers to log in to the driver app without going through the usual authorization process. Normally, a driver must register and wait for their account to be reviewed and approved before gaining access. However, if their username is added to the driver whitelist, they can skip this step and log in immediately.

Note: The driver must already exist in the system with that username. If there is no driver account associated with the username, the whitelist will not work.

To remove a username from the list, click the icon located to the left side of the username.
