How to Set Commission-Based Driver Earnings and Company Income

Learn how to configure commission-based driver earnings in Onro by setting the earning model, commission coefficient, and minimum driver balance for each working type.

In Onro, driver earnings can be configured based on how your business works with drivers. Some drivers may receive a fixed amount for each completed order, while others may earn a percentage of the order price.

This article explains how to set up commission-based earnings for drivers and how the commission coefficient defines your company’s income from each order.

Where to Configure Driver Earnings

Driver earnings are configured through Working Types.

To create or edit a working type, go to:

Admin Center → Drivers → Working Type → New Record / Action

Inside the working type settings, set the Earning Model to Commission.

Configuring the Commission-Based Earning Model

The Commission Coefficient defines your company’s income percentage from each order.

It should be entered as a number between 0 and 1.

For example:

Commission Coefficient

Company Income

Driver Earnings

0.1

10%

90%

0.2

20%

80%

0.3

30%

70%

So, if the commission coefficient is set to 0.2, your company receives 20% of the order price, and the driver receives 80%.

Example

Order fee: $10
Commission coefficient: 0.2

Result:

Receiver

Amount

Company income

$2

Driver earnings

$8

In this example, the company receives 20% of the order price, and the driver receives the remaining 80%.

Minimum Driver Balance

The Minimum Driver Balance field defines the minimum wallet balance a driver must have to receive new orders.

For example, if this value is set to 10, the driver’s wallet balance must be more than 10 to receive an order.

This helps you control driver wallet requirements before assigning or offering orders.

Using Different Commission Rates for Different Drivers

You can create multiple working types with different commission coefficients.

For example:

Driver Group

Commission Coefficient

Company Income

Driver Earnings

Freelance drivers

0.2

20%

80%

Premium drivers

0.15

15%

85%

Default drivers

0.25

25%

75%

After creating the working types, assign each one to the related driver group.

This allows you to manage different earning rules for different types of drivers.
