How service points work

Learn what service points are, explore their 4 types, and see how they can be used to create custom delivery methods for orders.

A service point is basically a physical location where a service is provided, picked up, delivered, or accessed.

Hereโ€™s a simple breakdown:โ€Œ A service point could be a store, a pickup locker, a warehouse, a customer service desk, or even a partner location (like a convenience store where you pick up a package).

In Onro, we have 4 types of service points.

  1. Address: A regular residential or business street address where packages are delivered directly (like your home or office).

  2. Parcel Locker: A self-service, secure locker where you can pick up or drop off parcels โ€” usually available 24/7 at convenient locations (like shopping centers, petrol stations, or outside post offices).

  3. Business: A registered business location that accepts deliveries, often during standard business hours (like shops, offices, etc.).

  4. Warehouse: A large storage facility that handles bigger volumes of parcels, often used for bulk shipping, fulfillment centers, or logistics hubs.

You can create service points with different types and use them to build custom delivery methods for managing your orders.
